My art has a purpose. We all communicate through our own unique art, but to create works to express the needs of others is a true privilege. I accept this career as a test of my intuition and character judgement, a challenge I enjoy very much. After all, true success in this field comes down to talent and interpersonal skills more than any line on a resume.
Biography: People continue to leave Sioux Falls in search of excitement and opportunity. Most soon realize that what they seek most was right here at home. I was born in Sioux Falls and it will always be my home. I spent many years of college and marriage away from here, but always seem to come back to the comforts of family and friends. My husband and I were blessed with a baby boy in 2004 and every day since has been spent reaffirming our priorities. I have been an artist since childhood, but never realized it could be a "real job" until I spent so many years working at something I had only settled for. I suppose having a child made me realize that we can all still grow up to be the cowboy or astronaut we had hoped to be.
