I paint primarilly "Judaic" or "National" Folk Art, some might call it naive of neo-primitive. I paint whimsical and endearing scenes of traditional and moderen Jewish life. I employ bold usage of vivid colors and cheerful, busy images to show that Judaism is alive and vibrant in the 21st Century. Please sign my guestbook.
Biography: I am a 41 year old disabled artist who lives and paints in an Adult Family Home in Ferndale, Washington, USA. I began painting two years ago this Rosh Hashanah, when my younger brother Jacob passed away on the first day of Rosh Hashanah. I intended to paint just to control my grief, but my friends from the Synagogue loved my paintings and the first one's sold right away to friends. Later I began having shows and selling art at my Synagogue. I am well represented in the Internet and have had many good reviews and good sales even thought I am only an emerging artist. I am progressing quickly and am a prolific artist. I believe my greatest stength is that I have found something to paint that I am passionate about, for Judaism is truly my life and the length of my days. It is a well that is never exhausted.
