Biography: E. Benote Hill is a Seattle-based, Chicago born mixed-media and media-based artist. He began his art career in the Bay Area while working on his B.A. in Mass Communication at Cal State, Hayward, and continued in the Visual Design Program at the Art Institute of Seattle in the laste 20th Century. He recently completed his B.A. in Liberal Studies: Media Literacy & Video Production at The Evergreen State College. And works with local high schools in television production and arts programming. He is one of the founders of the Nu Tribes Arts Collective and worked as an advisor for the Artist Trust EDGE Program, Seattle’s Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs’ Community Arts revision, and Pratt Fine Arts Center's attempts to reach out to minority communities. Hill has also served as an arts and media instructor. His work is shown in Oakland, Tacoma, Chicago and Seattle.
