Biography: Dea was born on the 20th of May 1977 in the green heart of Austria. She is married and the mother of a girl, born in 2004. Besides her profession as a trainer in adults' education she has been keen on photography ever since. Her work is basically concentrated on portraits and her ongoing focus on Heimgang - Projekt:Stille, which is dedicated to special cemeteries. With her project "Heimgang" she tries to show the beauty of old graveyards, hidden details, cemeteries' architecture, last guards and the myth around those silent places. Dea has gained her skills mostly by self-education and trying. Having the right focus and eye for beauty and art her works turn out mystically and touching. Dea uses a Canon 350D and various lenses. Some of her pictures are manipulated with Adobe Photoshop, as she also gained exerpience in photo manipulations.
