As an Abstract Expressionist, my concerns are with the manipulation of paint and the surface of the canvas to form non-objective imagery that reflects either an emotional state, a thought, a concept, or is simply an exercise in composition, color and contrasts. I intend no references to anything in the real world. Whatever the viewer gets from my work is a reflection of their own experience and their interpretations of it will be as unique for each viewer as each of my paintings is. Hopefully, everyone who views my works will come away from the experience with a positive impression.
