I love the smell of an art studio; paints, thinners, lead, charcoal. The essence of my history. In 1997 I found a mouse, he lead me to a CPU, who I communicated with through a monitor. I miss the smells...but not the clean up. A BFA holder turned digital, but the passion remains.
Biography: In 2000 I was laid off from my position as Marketing Coordinator/Lead Graphic Designer due to company closure. I chose to open my own sole proprietorship, make sure our two teenagers graduated with success and onto college, and give myself the chance to challenge some theories I held as a fulltime employee. You know the type of theories; if I had it to do my way, it sure wouldn’t be THIS way. Five years later our two graduates are posting 3.7 and 3.8 and heading toward their higher education with Who’s Who and National Honor Roll Status’, Visionized.com is breathing on it’s own after passing the 5 year acid test, and I’ve finished testing most of my “theories” recognizing I was breaking about even on being more right or wrong than my boss and her decisions. What are the morals of the five year’s of stories? Children will be inspired and succeed if you lead by example rather than by pontification. Sole Proprietorship fits me like a glove. I owe my boss for lessons learned and later applied. There’s no point in going on about my career, that’s why my resume is posted. There’s no point in writing the glories of my delivery, dedication, product and skill set here, that’s what my website does. Succinctly put; I quickly, professionally, and painlessly fill a wide variety of graphic design needs within a 1099 contractual agreement. I will provide original fresh print or web collateral at a reasonable hourly rate. I will not charge kill fees, I do not retain copyright interest, in whole or royalty based, upon payment in full at time of delivery of the product(s). I prefer succinct in word and deed. I have a succinct resume as well, just ask for a copy.
