Biography: SR (Steven Ray) Schwartz (b. 1972) captures images that interest him from a perspective or emotion, from a "moment" or a color. He has been complemented for his ability to look beyond the surface of a whole image and extract the crux of that composition. Photography remains his mainstay, although he has experimented with line art figurative drawings. Poetry has been both a separate entity and a cross connection to his art, as sampled in this gallery. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Schwartz has worked in Manhattan and Pennsylvania for brokerage, chemicals and pharmaceutical industries, but enjoys art for its creative expression and exploration. Mr. Schwartz is currently seeking galleries to post pieces of his collection as well as benefactors for larger projects.
