Until I figure things out... ...I'll be creating art by myself in this boring town where I own my home thanks to "elecronic clip art". ...And I still can't type!
Biography: I am 47 years old. When I was 31 working as an illustrator drawing clip-art, it was announced that an intern from Bradley University was going to teach us how to "draw" on the computer. In 1979 I recieved a degree in fine art from Southern Illinois University. It was bad enough that I now had to make a living drawing cartoon birdies, pilgims, bunnies and, of course, Santa Claus, now we had to learn to use a Macintosh computer (or "The Magic Box", as some of us refered to it). "Hey... ...I can't even type!", I grumbled. This was 1987. I have my own studio and little gallery. My nickname is "Swami", thus my studio is named SwamiStuff Studio. I've spent the last four years there, coming in everyday and going home. Coming and going, going and coming. Everyday. I enjoy it. I still do a few logos and small commercial art projects, but I spend most of my time on my own stuff. I grew up in the sixties and seventies and was very much influenced by Warhol, Dali and Peter Max. My latter life experience has been more akin to Pollock's, luckily I only have a bad limp as a result of my wreck. I was born June 11, 1956. He died October 11, 1956. Pollock's influence is in what I call my "SwaMixed Media Fine Art".
