this is medicine art, meant to connect this world with our spirit world. i honor our heritage by living it with my artwork. using our native american philosophies of balance, honoring the never ending cycles of death and rebirth. by connecting these worlds, we create a flow of energy, which heals and strenghthens us. some pieces are simply a fair warning that we've been to hell, and are on the war-path!
Biography: at age six, i was awarded newbury for an illustraited children's book. at twelve, i began using guest scholarships to cranbrook, brooke's memorial, and harding academy. by fourteen, i was placed 1st, nationally for my age group. i placed 1st regionally- all age groups, and 2nd and 3rd nationally- all ages. at age fifteen i left home. about twenty years later i was in a near death death experiance, which left me with a form of stress induced semi-amnesia, as well as a temporary blindness, which later developed into a mere color-blindness, which is preasantly almost non-existant for me. part of my recovery has meant making new friends. i attended a charity event sponsored by a local bike rally, hoping to meet others. i ended up befriending a band of musicians. as my personal past unraveled, i realized the more i spoke of my memories, the more i was able to recall. they have continually encouraged me to put forward my best efforts share my work with others.
