Photography by Carla Adams
Biography: Carla Adams (nee Parry) started her career in 2001 when she exhibited works in a solo exhibition at Kenwick Youth Arts Centre at the age of 16. Shortly after this she was commissioned to take her first band promo shoot at the age of 17. She then went on to experiment with many different styles and mediums but found her niche with photography. Making an income from music photography but wanting to reach out to other styles, Carla started to chat to fellow photographer Nicholas Jonsson about the next step in their respective artistic journeys. Carla and Nicholas co founded wondertwins art, an opportunity to explore and merge street art, photography and illustration. She has worked with bands such as End of Fashion, Mink Mussel Creek, Head Filled Attraction, Sleeper X, Astronaut, Spencer Tracey, The Panda Band, The Bullet Holes, Melange, The Jayco Brothers, Bus#56, Pyromesh, As a Weapon, Calerway, Burying November, Waeco, The Simian Line, Rollerskates and The Deaf Jeffery’s. Her stencils can be seen around the streets of Perth and in the homes of those few lucky enough to own a limited edition wondertwins piece.
