Charlotte’s highly original and intriguing work expresses her delight in working spontaneously. She allows spirit to dictate the direction her work will take as she participates in the dance of life. Much of Charlotte’s work is a cross between fantasy and surrealism and represents the interface between the external and the internal worlds. Visually powerful and rich in meaning her work engages heart and soul, by-passing rational logic. Charlotte is a visionary who finds joy in working with a variety of media, expressing the interconnectedness of life’s experiences, the life force and the presence of soul.
Biography: Charlotte Seager was born and raised in Turkey of English and American parentage. Her schooling in Turkey and England culminated in Michigan where she received her BA in art from Olivet College. Twenty-some yeas later Charlotte studied at Lesley University for her Masters Degree in Expressive Therapy. She has taught art for over twenty years in K-12, and college and in adult education courses, as well as in the artist in the schools program in Tennessee. Charlotte has painted a diorama backdrop for a museum in New Hampshire and is a published cover illustrator. Charlotte’s work has been exhibited at various venues and galleries in Vermont, New Hampshire, Tennessee and Michigan, and is held in private collections in the United States and internationally.
