Biography: Born in Milano in 1954, Agostino Ambrosio has been largely influenced by the works of his uncle, the painter Francesco Lavezzari himself pupil of the Brera master Augusto Colombo. During his years in Milano he has been in contact with the unknown and very talented master Giorgio Violi. This encounter was paramount for his inspiration. Agostino Ambrosio moved to Canada in 1977 where he lives in Montreal. He has received an important art education by Lyette Limoges and Pierre Lafleur. His works revolve around the loves of his life: the night sky, the Mediterranean Sea and his native land.
