Biography: I trained as an illustrator and commercial artist, working in Yorkshire and the West Country, until I decided to go into teaching. I taught for ten years in secondary and adult education, subsequently becoming a full-time artist specialising in portraiture and landscape. I enjoy travelling and producing work from my travels. I enjoy capturing character through a direct approach in portraiture and expressing a sense of place in my landscapes. I have exhibited at - * The Royal Institute of Painters in Oils, * The Royal Institute of Painters in Water-Colours, * The Singer & Friedlander/Sunday Times Water Colour Competition, The Spink Gallery London (Newbury Spring Festival) * A number of one-man and joint exhibitions. I have works in collections world-wide.
