I am primarily a painter working mainly in acrylics but also oils and I have dabbled with the medium of watercolor. I love painting still lifes of the everyday objects that surround me. Also, I enjoy doing figurative work and portraits as well as the occasional landscape.
Biography: I am a 1975 graduate of Lincoln High School in historic Vincennes, IN. I have a degree in Modern Foreign Language from Vincennes University where I also studied art. (VU is a NASAD accredited college) I have attended summer courses at the University of Dijon, Dijon France and was pursuing my Bachelor's in Fine Art at the University of Southern Indiana. For two and a half years I worked as a production painter in the shop of nationally-known wildlife artist Jules Bouillet. There I learned to airbrush and handpaint on the resin cast ducks produced at the shop from his original carvings. In August of 2004 I became a co-president of the Northwest Territory Art Guild in Vincennes. I share this office with my friend, neighbor and co-artist Anita Billings. Anita and I colloborate on painted windows, interior murals, some paintings, and various art-related fundraising projects. We also co-teach drawing at Artventures, an art day camp sponsered by Psi Iota Xi.
