Ingrid Z's current work focuses on photography in pursuit of the sacred; a search for paradise, and a speculation on the rise and fall of structure. Entitled Xanadu, she has approached this project with a series of photographs snapped quickly while exploring derelict buildings on a hunt for beauty trapped beneath the ruins of London's East End, she provides a momentary glimpse of a ghostly empire left to thrive in a disposable civilization. Her work is very much about structural disintegration/regeneration and the relationship between time, person, and space.
