John Hilliard is an abstract land/seascape artist, working in both oils and pastels, whose work has been significantly influenced by JMW Turner. Like Turner, John Hilliard attempts to use his own emotional response to the natural world to create new visual phenomena which, in turn, invokes an individual emotional or spiritual response in the viewer.
Biography: John Hilliard is an English painter living and working in the West Country of England. He has also spent long periods of time living and painting on the west coast of Donegal, and these environments have been a major factor in inspiring his land and seascapes of England and Ireland. He has exhibited in London, Derbyshire and Somerset.
