As an artist I am facinated by the fushion between man-made and organic. A great deal of my work today explores these themes, namely with my new series where I tease a man-made substance to evoke a living organism. I am also facinated by the concept of layering materials over one another. The vast majority of my pieces are layer upon layer of acrylic, plastic, gel, varnish and wrapping, all resting upon a humble canvas. I see this as a a metaphor for the way that I am just as intrigued by the way that a person may cloak themselves in metaphorical or physical layers to conceal something inside.
Biography: I studied Fine Art at the University of Northampton, after completing a foundation course at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication. Currently, I exhibit in and around London and my shows range from everything to simple relief canvases, to large scale installations.
