Oil paint and the figure have been a constant source of inspiration for my work. There is nothing more beautiful than a great painting, that which grips the public through centuries of change. In the stillness of the imagery and its simplicity, is all its force. I find in painting, with the presence of the figure and the slowness of the process, the intimacy which I so strive for is achieved. Time becomes a precarious friend, allowing its imagery to unfold.
