The world of animals and nature is my passion. The grace and power of an Arabian horse, the cool, level gaze of a wolf, or the exuberance of puppies at play, all move me as other subjects haven't. Working almost exclusively in soft pastel, I strive to give the viewer a glimpse into the animal's personality, by painting close up views. I am a firm believer in wildlife conservation, and support several organizations. I want my work to make a difference.
Biography: I am largely a self taught artist. My art education comes from workshops and books on the techniques and mediums that interested me. I didn't try to make a career for myself until I had raised my family, so I feel as though I have a lot of catching up to do! I make my home in Southern Ohio, with my husband, several dogs, and a few horses.
