Too many artists are fartsty and arrogant.
Biography: Born in 1985, Christopher Ramos grew up in New York City. His paintings are often known for their mysterious or dark content. Although, he has painted many cheerful pieces as well. This, style or period of his, stems from many key events of his life. Mr. Ramos has always been known as the quiet sort. He observes his surroundings coolly and without bias. Through the careful observations of the traumas and the joys of his life, and what he has observed of the world about him, he has developed an ingenious surrealist/realist painting style. His paintings offer us a detailed yet mysterious window into his brain. Many of his paintings seem to employ the same limited palette of colors (usually, a menagerie of browns and reds). This may often be the case, but it is his phenomenal use of these colors that amazes me. He has been known to produce paintings which seem to have taken a 360 degree turn with regard to the palette employed (paintings with bright greens and blues). Mr. Ramos is still a young artist and I (and many others, I’m sure) patiently await the progress of this master of paint.
