I have been painting all my life. Mainly abstract stuff but in recent years also some ink sketches of cities and still life. Painting is something I took for granted until I had an accident and lost the use of my arm for some time. When I resumed I was forced to change the way I paint and moved away from watercolours to acrylic paints. My early works (1980's) were more graphic in arrangement but these days I enjoy working with my hands more, affording a more expressive style. However I tend to go from one extreme to another. I will paint all my life, its one of the things that truely excites me and helps me escape to another dimension from this world. I have little interest in art apart from my own. My ink sketches are a totally different experience to produce, often rapid and without planning, its like I sit there and the picture draws itself via my hands.
