Philosophy
Photography- To me it is freezing a moment in time that will never be captured again. A life saving moment, it’s a subtle magical force that is born from trusting your intuition enough to act upon it. It’s a vision not seen as clearly with the naked eye but with God’s grace the lens brings life, possibilities and promise that instantly becomes transformed into whatever creativity your soul possess.
Painting- My paintings are nothing more than abstract art, both tangible and mysterious; abstract contains the elements of our spirituality. My work has been described as having a high sense of energy, color and boldness. I belief it merely expresses my inner thoughts and sub-conscious emotions. Although the outcome of my paintings are usually from a personal attribute, my desire is to sustain a dialogue with my audience thru the painting. By capturing a mood or emotional passage I hope that my work will move the viewer in some way that is meaningful.
Biography: Background Yvonne started painting as a teenager the aura of colors mixing together became fascinating to her even though the passion and imagination was there she went on to pursue other things. Years later she has come full circle back to the creative side in which she now embraces with energy and faith. Yvonne has only had one art class in her life and feels she is a product of being self taught. She is currently attending college to obtain her degree in art. Yvonne paints using acrylic, texture and mixed media with her work, she also does digital painting using software and painting programs to create a unique abstract blend.
Photography has always been a passion for Yvonne and a few years ago she decided to incorporate the dream along with her painting, learning by trial and error on her own her vision became more meaningful as time went by. She decided it was time to go to school to further her knowledge and sharpen her skills even more.
