I create mixed media canvases using acrylics, fabric and silver leaf. I build up numerous layers to achieve different textures. I take inspiration form subjects as diverse as fashion, architecture and nature.
Biography: I graduated in 1998 from staffordshire university with a BA(Hons)Design: Ceramic Arts. After this I was supported with a grant from the Princes Trust and also funding from th EU and the Wigan Jumpstart Scheme. At this time I produced ceramics and mosaics selling my work at varios events and craft venues including The Festive Fair at the NEC in Birmingham. After havind my son and a three year gap, I am returning to creative work by making abstract canvases.
