Biography: Diane C. Olson has drawn and painted throughout her life, mostly for family and friends as well as for herself. She is a self-taught artist having no formal education in the arts. In 1995 her daughter was called to be with God, it has been her grief that brought angels to her canvas. She has recently chosen to market prints of her work so that others may have the opportunity to derive comfort from them as she does. “Liberty” and “Unity” are two in a series of four paintings titled the “American Angel Series”. Admittedly, “Justice” and “Freedom” have not yet been put on canvas to complete the series, although the compositions have been created. “Wish and a Prayer” is the first of the “Eternal Flame Series”. All of her original works are done in Genesis oil paints on box canvas. Only prints of her work are available for purchase. Her love and patriotism of her country, along with her compassion for those who have lost loved ones will keep her painting angels throughout her life here on earth.
