Biography: ARTIST BIO:
I always knew Art was my Destiny. Ever since I can remember, I was reproducing images from vision. It all started with the 64ct box of Crayola crayons...I am a lifelong, totally self taught Artist.
As a child, I won a pumpkin decorating contest in 4th grade, a poster design contest in 5th. I began doing Calligraphy in Olde English style at age 14.
High school nurtured my talents in a Professional way, as I was Layout Artist and Layout Editor of my Yearbook Staff. During this time, I started painting murals, had poetry published, and designed concert banners and advertising.
1992, I won the Women of Destiny Award for my essay on Art.
At 21, I started my own Calligraphy business, doing wedding invitations, certificates, custom banners for Rock bands, and nightclub ads.
I studied Art with an emphasis on Medieval History & French at Columbia College Chicago. I planned on specializing in Metaphysical/Visionary Art and Music Album cover design and moving to Paris. I became a Graphic Artist in a Sign Shop for 3 years in my early twenties working from concept thru production - doing computer design & engraving, working in the shop using power tools to create custom products from wood, plastic, plexiglass and mirror.
By a twist of fate, I was discovered dancing in a nightclub and became a full time Model for 6 years, traveling the USA. While on the road and seeing the World, I learned more about Photography and Art than I'd ever learned in school. And I fueled that into my images.
1998 I became self employed starting my company Ariane Enterprises, of which Art of Ariane is The official Art Dept :)
I love to bring visuals and ideas to life with a revolutionary twist. I am fascinated with the essence of things that reflect light: stained glass, metallics, plexiglass, kaliedoscopes, chrome, neon, etc. Currently redecorating my home studio and finishing "Sky Angel." My work is being published in an upcoming book by legendary paranormal author Brad Steiger.
