Our Studio produces Fine Art, Murals, Feature Walls and Fine Finishes for Decorative Ornate Plaster. Murals, Floor Coverings and other Art forms are also available. We encourage innovation.
Biography: After more than 30 years of experience in Art I decided I wanted to paint Decorative and Ornate Plaster as a business. Why? I had painted Decorative Plaster in a few homes over the years and felt I could lend so much more to the process than what I had previously. Studio life for this subject started off using the dining room table in Brisbane, Queensland. There were sparse guidelines for painting decorative plaster, so I developed a style suitable to us (my Partner Simon Goldberg and I). Our decorative paint system is called ArchiSpray and is applied in the Studio prior to installation. Trying to convey to prospective Clients the quality of our paint system was very difficult as it is unique even to the Trade. Luckily, we corresponded with Michael Delahunt of www.ARTlex.com. who developed his Art Dictionary site. We coined the term "ArchiSpray' after consulting with Michael. At this time, in Brisbane, 'The Letter' an ArchiSprayed painting and carved cast plaster sculptures of Australian Bushranger Ned Kelly were created. We soon relocated to Preston, Melbourne. While we located there, several Fine Art paintings were created using the ArchiSpray method. Our location was busy but not suitable for our Products and Services. We had heaps of Tradies, Designers, Builders and Home Renovators coming to have a look. So then we were looking at ways to advertise when the Internet seemed a good proposition! We had a steep learning curve when we decided to go on the Web! Bill Denheld of www.ironicon.com was a great inspiration for this move. After some five years our Studio and Showroom relocated to Gardenvale, 3185. Very quiet and close to the Bay, we have had a rest for this year. I used this time to network and study more than anything else as ill health slowed us down for a bit. Goodbye Gardenvale, Hello McKinnon! We have relocated to a house in McKinnon Road, McKinnon. The Sly Grog Club is our latest adventure, consisting of an Online Lquor sales business. I am working on a series of small ArchiSpray paintings depicting the lighter side of Sly Grog.
