As a person I am humble. As an architect I am intrigued. As an artist I am conscious. My work on the other hand has a tendency to be composed of extreme chaos that lies beneath the surface of my order. I don't feel like I've accomplished success until I can walk away from the project and have it exist on its own. Only then am I certain that the impression has been recorded on the sculpture that stands complete.
Biography: Brian Chaff pushes the envelope when it comes to design. He takes the traditional order of the thrown wheel and alters it with ingenuity and passion. While some of his art functions just for sight or touch, other pieces hold on to the fundamental aspects of function. This work can be noted through the colorful play on form and function. Most of the pieces he creates have been custom designed for a client but typically they are built from the sketches in his mind. Brian is an award-winning potter who holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree. He has studied and traveled extensively in the United States and Europe.
