The Paper Bag Portraits are an ongoing series of tributes to individuals who have found their own path in life. These individuals whether activists, actors, musicians, writers or politicians have all dedicated their lives to the pursuit of their own personal truths.
These are examples of people who do not compromise their vision and whose achievements, no matter how great or insignificant, all share humble origins. Each individual presented here has impacted the world around them in a positive and beneficial manner whether it be through political, social, musical, written or televised avenues of expression.
More often than not these individuals challenge notions of authority, technology, government, prejudice, network censorship, expose lies and deceit, uncover corporate agendas, promote positive environmental lifestyles and social change.
The Paper Bag Portrait series aims to tread lightly on natural resources. The series is produced from 80% post consumer products, recycled, freecycled and secondhand materials.
