As a fan of Pop Culture, I've utilized this theme as a way to express myself in my paintings. My work ranges from Pointilist portraits of cheesy celebrities, clean Pop-Arty portraits of Mexican Actors from the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema. As well as portraits of people who have influenced my life who I wanted to immortalize as my very own Pop Idols. I love the use of strong, bright colors as a means to catch the viewers eye and to bring a smile to ones face.
Biography: Eva Luz is a self taught artist who has been painting for the past 17 years. She finds inspiriation within Popular Culture as well as her own Mexican Heritage. Eva Luz is a native Californian who is currently residing in Sunny Southern California.
