Tableaux vivant During the past years I mostly worked with sculptures, installations and photography. As a continuation of this I started out drawings. I attempt to bring my rather abstract visions on mythology back to human existence. As if I describe a world in which humans are ornaments fundamentalized by imagination. In my opinion they are mythical enemies of themselves, our world and each other. Turning around each other in circles as if they are emotional colleagues but both realize they forgot the script. All the opportunities of having a conversation arise but they become silent and look around, think etc. but they miss the clue. I contemplate human emotions and gather influences while I attempt to tell them by the headlines of myths. This to let them become stories on themselves. For what I contemplate I use the history of art, but it has been placed in human existence. Because in my vision as an artist I look at the world trough art, and not trough life. So in my silent script-less moments art comes to be the personification of a storyteller that tells about its own fundaments as a history with a daily influence to our surrounding in which humans reflect themselves.
Biography: I graduated last year from the Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam. Im working as an artist. And the work mosly contains Drawing and Paintings.
