Biography: Judy Benton was born in Baltimore, MD. She studied at the Maryland Institute for the arts, and has competed and won several art contests. As a resident of the Eastern Shore of Maryland for the past 30 years, her art reflects her love of the ocean, nature, culture, and music. She has also played trumpet for numerous jazz and classical bands regionally and internationally. Some of her new work is inspired by recent travel to Mexico and Ghana. During the last several years, Judy has found her niche in abstract painting. However she has also exhibited works in realism, collage, and in other mediums such as graphic design and photography. Her current collection can be seen on display at galleries in Ocean City and Salisbury, MD.
