Biography: Kurt Richard Bekins was born in Grand Rapids, MI USA. He grew up there with his family: Rick and Karen are his parents. Katie (17) is his sister and Kyle (14) is his brother. He is now a Junior at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. He currently plays soccer and is a left outside midfield and a starter at Moody. He is a Bible major preparing to be a missionary overseas, possibly in Eastern Europe. He would like to help meet people's needs who can't help themselves such as homeless, poor, widowed, orphaned, sick, and handicapped in the inner city. His girlfriend who he has been dating for over a year now is Christine Jensen, from Pickford, MI. She also attends Moody and would like to help kids grow developmentally through music and the arts. Kurt's work includes photography as well as "confined" pieces using wax. He is currently developing his skills with a very cheap 35mm camera and very cheap coloring books with the wax "confined" pieces, but would like to upgrade to a digital camera and a few more crayons in his collection.
