Biography: Lens-A-Hand Images Features the work of Diane Robinson.
Diane Robinson, an Ohio artist, has been sketching and painting since early childhood and her interests span from painting landscapes and seascapes to portraits, wildlife, and still-life’s. She is a self-taught artist, having perfected her unique ability to capture a level of realism which is evident in all her paintings, and for which she is most well known, although close examination by the discerning viewer may reveal angels in the shadows or in the mist of some of her work. Her paintings have been exhibited in galleries across the United States. Her work has also appeared in national magazines including The Artist's Magazine, Decor Magazine, and most recently in the Safari Club International's Safari Magazine. In addition, her paintings have been displayed in several invitational, individual and group exhibitions, including the opening exhibition of the new arts building, LaFevere Hall, at the Ohio State University. Her work is held in corporate and private collections around the globe. In addition, she has several paintings published as limited edition prints and gicl?es. Diane has created several series, including a nautical series, lighthouse series, wildlife series (North American and African), and a still life series. She is currently working on a portrait series of world-renowned outdoor adventurers in the midst of their epic adventures, for a private collector.
Diane often travels in pursuit of subject matter, and these travels have afforded her the privilege of viewing animals in their natural habitat, studying land and seascapes in the midst of diverse and extreme weather conditions, and observing outdoorsmen during their epic adventures, enabling her to capture those fleeting moments not often laid upon canvas. She has been known to disappear into the mountains, go off to an isolated island, or seek seclusion and quiet at water’s edge, to emerge sometime later with exciting new works. When not traveling, Diane resides in Ohio, where she is able to develop her work in quiet solitude.
