I am now semi-retired, but this is not too much of a heartache as it gives me more time to paint. I am prepared to teach to art clubs in reasonable travelling distance from my Yorkshire home, but would paint a commission for anyone, anywhere in the world. So, if you have that favourite photograph that brings tears of fond memories to your eyes, let me see it and we shall see what can be done.
Biography: Les was born in the small industrial town of Castleford in West Yorkshire, UK. in the early 1940's and attended the local secondary school until he was 15. When a youngster just 10 years old, Les painted a trawler floundering in high seas, (dramatic seascapes where his favourite even at that early age). His headmaster was so impressed with the painting that he entered it in a national painting competition held by the Seven Seas Oil corporation. Alas, Les came in third and won a large box of art materials... the rest ofcourse is just history. Les is still a painter of dramatic landscapes and seascapes, and loves to paint his native Yorkshire.
