Artists follow a unique path in life. Many people, who created artwork as a child, grow up leading away from the art world. A multitalented person will tend to pick a different or stable career. Most artists have been told the old "starving artist" myth over and over again. This myth influences people’s dreams and changes their lives. Quitting what they love and their God given artistic talents.
Those whose life is art and who keep it that way, show the world their feelings, thoughts, and emotions! Everyone who views artwork uses their own past experiences to interpret the subject matter.
As for my journey in life, my fine art career has been a fascinating process! Ever changing! My future goals are to open a Working Studio Fine Art Gallery, to show off serious “up and coming artists”.
I’ve been a working artist for five years creating murals, paintings, drawings which hang in private residences, businesses and in the educational system on the Central Coast of California. I have also created my own websites including, www.ArtXpressions.com and www.WildXpression.com. For the past three years I have sold my artworks at outdoor festivals like Art in the Part at Dino Caves, Live Oak Music Festival and the Halcyon Store Arts and Crafts Festivals.
During the summer of 2005, I received my Associates Degree in Art at Allan Hancock College. In July 2005, Professional Photographer Terry Hunter of Hunter Photography and I went to Paris and London to study Digital Photography for a month. In August 2005, I moved to Arizona and worked as a Picture Framer. In December 2005 I moved back to Orcutt, California where I now have been creating many new artworks mostly consisting of flowers in vases. To see where I am showing at click here.
