I use a mixture of digital and manual processes. My work is a response to my social and emotional environment, I produce lively/engaging images; creative observations which have a spontaneous and documentary style. At the moment I am interested in youth and domesticity. I look for patterns, shapes or colours that repeat or mirror each other, this helps me create images with multiple visual levels. Giving titles to my photographs is important to me, these titles are often playfully constructed phrases which supplement the content of the images. I am interested in many aspects of society and environment and consider photography to be a versatile tool for exploring the subtleties of these experiences.
Biography: Anna studies Fina Art at Bath Spa University, graduating in 2006. She has been involved in various exhibitions in the South West which include ‘Life as we know it’ (Wallcot Chapel, Bath) ‘Youth’ (Rumour Wine Bar, Totnes), ‘Cuba and Africa’ Amoeba Bar, Bristol, ‘Something About Burlington Bertie’ (Amoeba Bar, Bristol), ‘Under the Influence’ (Central Bar, Bath) ‘Four Young Photographers’ (Rumour Wine Bar, Totnes). From September she will be working in Argentina for several months before returning to the UK.
