My favorite tool is the mechanical pencil because that is what I use every day and it fits my hand with comfort. My favorite material is graphite because if I don’t like something I can erase and start over. I like the fact that my favorite pictures are fictional creatures. A picture turns out well when I can’t think of anything else to do to my pictures. I was originally taught to do whatever I wanted to do, but now I’m being taught to do something in a particular way, and I don’t really like it. When I work with my pencil I am reminded that I can erase. I begin a picture by just making lines. I know a picture is done when…. A picture is never done just abandoned. When my work is going well, when I can say it looks cool. When people see my work, I’d like them to say what is it? I love art. If I didn’t have art I don’t know what I would have done. My goals are sort of fading because art class is getting me away from what I like to do. I don’t like being told to do something in a certain media. I only like to draw in pencil. I don’t mind doing things in other media, but don’t like it when I have to do certain theme. I don’t really like my current work because I’m being told to have certain themes.
Biography: I'm Andrew. I live in Greenwood, SC. My maternal side of the family love art and I have optained that love. I really began to love art in elementary school. My art has always been influenced by fiction, so my work is weird (my favorite work).
