Biography: Many aspects of art and crafts interest me - both real and surreal. For subjects from life my aim is to give an accurate portrayal, although I do use imagination in the composition in order to best capture their character. For things more surreal, design; form and colour all play a large part - people have told me that my more abstract art has an almost sculptural quality. I am not necessarily a great advocate of drawing or painting a subject in-situ and do use photographs as reference material, particularly for buildings and stonework or subjects where there is a lot of intricate detail. All reference material will of course be returned to you. I find the challenge of capturing a 'different' subject or experimenting with new or unusual media irresistible. So if you would like to have a much-loved pet, a favourite houseplant, your home or garden, or indeed a favourite photograph of anything immortalised in ink, pencil, watercolour, oil, pastel etc. or you have an idea for a stained-glass project, or any illustration / design work, commissions are always welcome. To date, my artwork can be found in private collections throughout the world, notably North America, the West Indies, Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and New Zealand.
