Biography: Hello friend, my name is Don Mckenzie and my love of art, particularly graphite pencil drawings began about 25 yrs. ago. When I was about 13, I saw some graphite pencil drawings of some domestic and wildlife animals and was just blown away at how detailed the artist rendered his creations in graphite pencil form. Ever since then, I had always had a strong love for pencil drawings. Up until about 1995, I only drew sporadically. Around this time, the good Lord starting showing me how to really draw using graphite pencils and as a result, I started taking my talent for graphite drawings more seriously. From then on, I began researching to understand the best ways to create good graphite drawings utilizing various types of pencils, papers and techniques.
