I believe art is, more than anything else, about capturing the mood of a particular subject and about understanding the essential essence of that thing. Many people think my work is "pretty" and this might be a result of choosing subjects that appeal to me -- and often times those images are of beauty. I think the most important thing to my work is the pursuit of Beauty and Truth in the world. I am interested in exploring the inherent beauty of the world or else examining why things are sometimes not so beautiful.
Biography: Born in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains in 1979, David is an accomplished and award-winnig oil painter. He began drawing when he could barely hold a pencil and has nearly ten years of experience in oil painting. He is a graduate of Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art with a concentration in painting. He has exhibited extensively and continues to paint and pursue new avenues of creativity.
