I experiment in different areas of visual art: photography, oil painting and computer graphics. With an IT background I often use computer as a sketchpad. My main subjects are animals and landscapes with styles vary from realism to symbolism and surrealism. Many of artwotks are also available as limited-edition giclee prints. Commissions are welcome!
Biography: Educated to a computer degree in Moscow, Russia, I was always interested in visual art. My passion for photography started from school and I began to draw with pen and pencil and paint with gouache in University and later switched to oil as my main medium. I am self taught in my painting however my mother being an artist gave me some tips and, most important, the inspiration. I have found a good compromise between art and computer in web design and computer graphics and worked in this area for many years. This career has brought me to Scotland in 2000 and possibly inspired by the scenic location I have recently decided to take pure art more seriously. Many of my artworks are available for sale online here and on my web site www.artforest.co.uk and also in local art galleries in Scottish Borders.
