Biography: Giosi Costan was born in Rome in the '63. Since small it is spellbound from the sketch and from the painting. It experiments the sketch, but it doesn't have occasion to deepen the techniques of the color. Not having been able to dare first specific studies, she has drawn near to the beloved art frequenting and forming herself with the painter and sculptor Gabriele Jagnocco, near the Center of art You Citadel, to Palestrina. She has continued then in the time, through a constant search, to experiment various techniques, from the painting on paper to the cloth, from the tables to the cooked one, trying oil and tempers, painting to brush and spatula. It suits the technique for the subject so that every work expresses to the best that "deep to feel" that it is the constant of its art. Great importance from the technical point of view, has had also its brief experience near the School of Painting "Science of the art" of Rome directed by the Teacher Marco Rossati. It operates within the figurative modern with symbolic intonation. Her landscapes, her dead natures, its female figures are never a banal representation of the reality. The sensibility of the artist gathers the mind inside the things and the life behind the figures. With her strong sense of the color and the balanced composition of the work, Giosi Costan strikes us in the unconscious, where the truth mixes him to the dream and the expectations of the daily life. Its pictorial sensibility brings her to see the poetry in the rough "quotidianita", also from the colds glasses of a window of hospital. Her rich private life, the family, the three daughters and the friends, enrich the perception of all of this that surrounds her and the love for the life and for the people that live around her is well present, for example in dollies her of portraits.
