I love the honesty of art because there is no way to "lie" in the creating process. Paint, brushes, pencils, camera, clay, mixed media... the truth of your emotion and the filter of personal interpretation will patina the raw materials and convey unique personal truths. It's incredible to share my art and even more incredible to inspire another to be brave in the creation of art. Teaching art to others is not only very gratifying but necessary from a cultural standpoint. Once I teach the process of a particular medium, the artist is free to use these new tools to explore self-expression. The end result is a new self-awareness and a work of art.
