Biography: Katalina J. Szombath is an award winning artist and photographer, a graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, member of the International Federation of Artists- her artwork is listed by national galleries and is collected world-wide. Katalina's culturally diverse background created a rich carpet for her inspirations. Experiences of life in historic European cities - Prague, Warsaw, Moscow, St Petersburg, Budapest and London, influenced her artwork. Appart from traditional oil paintings, Katalina's artwork includes traditional and new forms of prints such as screen-prints and ink-jet prints, photography, enamelling, stained-glass and video. Katalina's artwork is part of local, national and international collections. More recently Katalina's artwork has been inspired by her extensive research in European Experiemntal Film and also by formal and spiritual qualities of Russian Icons. Katalina is a founder of the J ART (www.jartuk.com) a gallery which sells artwork by contemporary Russian and European Fine Artists and Photographers.
