I am mixed media artist, based in Grantham, Lincolnshire, UK. My work transcends a variety of different media, and features various predominating themes. I am one of a number of Lincolnshire artists, who regularly exhibit around the region, including Lincoln, Nottingham and Sleaford.
Biography: I used to earn my living researching the medieval world-view in early French literature. I turned to more or less full-time art in the mid-90s and have been exhibiting and selling work since. My earlier researches sprang from a fascination with the varying ways of seeing and representing the physical world across time and in different cultures. This preoccupation constantly creeps into my art work whether I realise it or not. One particular interest is gardens, and I have recently completed several largish semi-abstract collages of individual gardens. I have, as yet, no official gallery, mentor or agent but regularly show work in galleries and venues all over the UK. I’ve also had numerous solo shows and won some prizes. Colour is a dominant influence in my life.
