I enjoy painting a range of different subjects since my main interest is in colour and light - how light illuminates a subject or scene and how colours are affected by the different lights - indoor light or the time of day. My style is realism - I enjoy creating a painting of a recognisable subject but with the extra touches that a painting as opposed to a photograph allows. I usually paint with a brighter and more varied pallette than is provided by nature, emphasising the wonderful colours that are all around us. All my original pastel paintings are created using high quality, light-fast, archival pastels and grounds so you can be sure you will enjoy their beauty for many years to come.
Biography: I have always loved creating beautiful things, mainly drawing and painting but also through other mediums. I now concentrate mainly on painting in pastels, with some oils. I also take commissions. I am a showing member of the Bedfordshire Artists Network.
