For the love of art! I am intrigued with artists from the 1900’s; Post-Impressionism, Art Nouveau, Fauvism and Expressionism. Artists from these eras have inspired my use of color, stroke, content and free play of spontaneous feeling. My work gives me inner strength. I have an emotional use for vibrant color. It is a powerful and volatile combination for expression. My use of vibrant colors is a subconscious admission to the eye of the viewer. I implore each to view my work through a visual entrance into a world of their own, beyond my eye.
Biography: Born in Pennsylvania. Attended Mansfield University,Pennsylvania. Graduated with Bachelor of Science in Art Education. Currently teaching High School Art. I began taking private art lessons as a young child. The exposure at such a young age gave me the ability to build and grow in my talent. My love for painting emerged in high school, peaked in college and has continued to grow through the years.. My approach was that of a non-objective nature. I love to simply throw color at the canvas, mix and match, step back and see what would appear. My love of the abstract stroke and peoples expressions grew into a wide realm of color-imaged expressionism on the canvas. Now I am into motorcycles and painting the freedom that they represent to me. I enjoy the detail of all the parts of a bike and the nostalgia.
