My work is created for the sake of communication, not just ornamentation. Enclosed in each piece lies a hidden message for the viewer to interpret. With every brushstroke, I speak the emotions that mere words could never fully convey.
Biography: On December of 1982, Kristin Abraham was born second into a family of nine. For eighteen years, Abraham remained in New York, living in the small town of Livonia. To escape the chaos of the barn-shaped house, she started to draw at an early age. In 2001, Abraham moved to Ft. Myers, Florida and picked up a paint brush. She participated in several local art shows before traveling to Europe to explore parts of England and Italy. Upon her return, Abraham attended Florida Gulf Coast University and exhibited in the FGCU student show. After one semester, she took on painting full time. In 2002, Abraham apprenticed with mural artist, Cary diValentin. This experience jump-started her commission painting, leading to several large scale works throughout southern Florida. During this time, Abraham achieved gallery representation by Artemesia Gallery, in Venice FL. In 2003, Abraham married Alfonso Llamas, guitarist of the band Revenge For Hire. From 2003-2005 Abraham taught (k-12) art at a private school in Ft. Myers. Abraham and Llamas, now work together, conducting melodies with a paintbrush and illustrating masterpieces with six chords.
