It could be between 3-6 drawings in each issue. I am an illustrator for Empati Magazine. A magazine with articles about psychology and psychiatric care. My latest project is that I am illustrating a poems-book for a writer in Usa. My favourite media : Expressing with graphite I have really found that graphite pencil is a fantastic tool to use. It has a lot of possibilities with the greyscales. I enjoy experimenting with the graphite, to draw textures, like wood, for example. Charcoal is also good to use in this context, so flexible. Graphite pencil is a fantastic artist tool to work with, so often underestimated. I use 2B up to 4B pencils tortillons ,tissues and fixative to reduce smudging. But I can still add more graphite after fixing. Paper is very important and it was at first, hard to find the right one, but at last I found a paper with a smooth surface, which is perfect for me. My favourite subjects: My favourite subjects are to draw people in different situations. Trying to express a feeling or a "mood" To make someone smile when looking at the drawing, to "touch". It is some kind of passion for me to draw. It is a way to express myself. My inspiration is people I see around me. In town, on a bus, in church.And also I find inspiration to read books, poems. Where characters are described. My mentor is the illustrator, artist I trained with. I am very impressed by her art. I also have good artistfriends of the Internet. They give me a lot of inspiration and support. I have friends in Usa, Ireland and U.K. I have also been showing my art with one of them in U.K. Other information: I love to learn about other cultures. I think that has been important for my art too. I lived for one year in Southern Africa. And from there I found a lot of inspirations and motives too.
