It compliments me quite wonderfully."
Biography: As a child she was consumed with coloring and coloring books. Finding a new set of crayons and markers as a gateway to a new, magical world within the confines of her imagination. But, as a child, she moved on to other things, but nevertheless she found the magic of paint and color inside her once again as a young adult. She saw Paris for the first time at the tender age of seven and has been travelling across the world to Switzerland, England, France, Ireland and most recently Greece ever since. Introducing an extrordinary young woman. Her name is Kathryn Hegarty. She is a painter, a poet, she is the essence of angelic artistry. Kathryn Hegarty is an incredible artist who gracefully entered the art world at the tender age of nineteen and is amazing not only viewers of her artwork, but herself as well. Her technical eye for color coupled with her ability to capture the simplicity and beauty in everyday life is truly astonishing. As one viewer puts it quite nicely, "Her spirit shines throughout her painting and refreshes the soul of the viewer". Kathryn Hegarty was born in Valentine, Nebraska in 1982. At age 19, Kathryn discovered painting. Her chance decision to begin painting was the result of her desire to try something new one particular weekend. She had been viewing artworks of master artists such as Van Gogh and Renoir and analyzing their uses of color and the way they composed their pieces. Compelled to bring something positive into the world, she decided to try painting. And with that, Kathryn was finding out that painting was something she could not live without. Kathryn's ideas for paintings come to her from what she likes to call, snapshots in time. She paints from past and present memories and is inspired by the masters such as Renoir, Monet, and Van Gogh. To this day, she has completed over 65 paintings and continues to find magic in her paintbrush and in the colors that flow from her palette to the canvas before her.
